Why Teal?
Teal is the color that represents food allergy awareness, and it is highlighted annually during Food Allergy Awareness Month in May. The Teal Takeover initiative encourages people to wear teal, use the hashtag #TealTakeover, and light up local landmarks in teal to raise awareness and funds for food allergy research. Teal is also used to signify a safe house during Halloween when offering non-food treats to trick-or-treaters, thanks to the Teal Pumpkin Project.
